Nestled on the enchanting Dubai Island, formerly known as Deira Island, Riu Hotel is one of Dubai’s best all-inclusive beach hotels for families. It caters to families in search of adventure, tranquillity, and culinary delights. Recently, my family and I had the pleasure of indulging in yet another unforgettable weekend at this hotel, and once again, it surpassed all expectations.
What to expect from this hotel?
As we entered the resort, we were immediately captivated by an ambiance that promised the perfect blend of excitement, fun and relaxation. Nestled near the district of Deira, the hotel promised a fun experience for the little ones. Boasting not one, not two, but three magnificent pools specifically designed with children in mind, my kids enjoyed diving and swimming. Toddlers and preschoolers can find their own slice of paradise at the dedicated kids club. They will be able to participate in different activities such as arts and crafts. The icing on the cake came in the form of the Splash Waterpark. It has an exhilarating splash pad and thrilling slides for all ages.
As for our accommodation, we settled into our spacious family room, and were greeted by the mesmerizing sight of sea views and Dubai’s old district skyline stretching endlessly before us. The room itself consisted of two elegantly appointed bedrooms, a shared bathroom, a generous lounge area, and a private balcony that overlooked the glistening beach.
One of the many delights of our stay at Riu Hotel was the fact that it was an all-inclusive resort. And what could be more delightful than discovering that the mini-bar was free? It was as if a little extra touch of hospitality and luxury had been sprinkled onto our experience, ensuring that we had everything we needed at our fingertips. Whether we desired a refreshing beverage or a cup of coffee, the mini bar and free coffee and teas were always there to cater to our cravings.
Dining Experience at an All-inclusive Beach Hotel
When it comes to dining, Riu Hotel leaves no stone unturned. Guests can indulge in a wide variety of delectable cuisines from around the world as well as drinks until 3 AM. There are also Italian and Indian restaurants if you want à la carte options. Reservation is a must. I must say that every taste bud is satisfied. Snacks, cocktails, mocktails, coffees and teas are offered at the Sports Bar and the pool bars too.
And if you’re craving for an ice cream, it’s not a problem. You can have one even at night. As food enthusiasts, we found ourselves immersed in a world of flavors and textures. Each meal became a delightful exploration of new tastes and familiar favorites. There are always Italian, Mediterranean, Asian, Arabic, Indian as well as healthy options for us to choose from at the all-day dining restaurant.
Moreover, I loved the vibrant colors of fresh salads and juices, the succulence of perfectly grilled meats and seafoods, and the delicate sweetness of decadent desserts. My kids tried different flavors of ice cream and we spoiled ourselves with glasses of prosecco in between bites. The culinary journey at Riu Hotel is a delight for food enthusiasts and ensures that no cravings go unfulfilled. Really!
Our culinary journey at Riu Hotel was an integral part of our stay. It’s one of the highlights of our staycation. With that, I must say, it’s truly one of Dubai’s best all-inclusive beach hotels. The staff made sure that every aspect of the visitor’s stay, including the dining, was carefully crafted to leave a lasting impression.

One cannot overlook the state-of-the-art facilities that Riu Hotel offers its guests. The water-temperature pools, complete with a water bar, provided a unique experience. We were able to sip a refreshing glass of mojito whilst enjoying a dip in the pool. Furthermore, we had so much fun in the water. There were many activities such as the exhilarating run race on the water and the enjoyable Zumbathon held right in the pool. We all had a go!
My kids and I had a blast running on the “water carpet”. We also joined the zumbathon leaving us breathless but full of energy. It was truly a memorable experience.
In addition, my kids loved the Splash Waterpark. Here, kids and teenagers can beat the heat. The thrilling waterslides with giant water buckets and splash pad for the little ones are perfect to unwind and stay feeling fresh. Parents can sit back and delight in the joy their children experience.
