Dubai has been my home since 2003. Over the years, I traveled to more than 35 countries and within the UAE too. And through these frequent trips, I realized that Dubai and the UAE are not only all about glitzy skyscrapers. It is a country, teeming with nature and wildlife too. A great destination for foodies and culture lovers. But one has to dig deeper to find these hidden gems, whether you’re exploring the desert or swimming in the sea.
And even though UAE can be an expensive holiday destination, you’ll still be surprised to find places where you hardly spend anything. As a long-time resident, I have discovered a lot of free activities and pocket-friendly adventures you can do around Dubai. You just have to be open-minded and get creative.
And so, this is how “Mommy Local Spots” started. As a UAE resident, I’d like to share with you hidden gems, pocket-friendly activities, and nature escapades. Places that you’ll enjoy, beyond your hotel’s walls or outside your homes. Travel with me and discover places around Dubai at your own pace.
A Mom
As a mom of two school-aged kids, I have scoured and discovered different free parks and playgrounds, open nature reserves, and various affordable museums. Those places are perfect for fun and educational escapades. From one mommy to another, know that I’ll always share ideas great for kids.
