A beautiful butterfly landed on my hand at Dubai Butterfly Garden.

Dubai Butterfly Garden

The butterfly garden is a perfect escape for nature-lovers and parents with small kids. It’s a haven of peace, calm, and a respite from the heat and humidity during the summer months.
Claimed to be the “World’s Largest Covered Butterfly Garden,” this nature retreat is home to over 15,000 butterflies. You’ll get to visit ten custom-built domes and just be with nature. You’ll also have the chance to see how butterflies evolve from pupa to amazing four-winged creatures! Moreover, Dubai Butterfly Garden features a rich collection of different species of exotic butterflies as well as shrubs, wild trees, and ground covers. By being home to over thousands of butterflies and greeneries, this is the perfect nature escape you’re longing for!

The indoor scenery of Dubai Butterfly Garden.
I’ve visited the butterfly garden a couple of times and I truly enjoyed it! My kids had so much fun and were amazed by the scenery, as butterflies flew around them. There’s a little pond with Koi fishes and sitting areas to rest and savour the moment! The butterfly park has lots of greeneries that made us feel like we had been whisked away to another country! After a few hours of momentous shrieks and laughter, I treated them to a cone of ice cream. It was a great summer day that we would always cherish and we sure had taken lots of pictures.

If you’re searching for a change of scenery, away from the crowded malls, then take your family to this pocket-friendly indoor activity, right in the middle of Dubai. You’ll have a blast. For dining, there’s a coffee shop where you can grab an ice cream, light bites, and a cup of coffee! This place is great for restless little feet as well as nature lovers. The park is open daily from 9 AM to 6 PM. Dubai Butterfly Garden is a pocket-friendly escapade for just 55 AED. You can also get group discounts through Groupon and it’s perfect for a family outing.

Mohammed Bin Rashid Library

A free place for bookworms and young minds who want to explore “new worlds” and ” new places” and yet they stay where they are.
One of the sitting areas in Mohammed Bin Rashid Library!

Mohammed Bin Rashid Library is the latest free escapade in town. It’s an educational one-stop-shop for the youth, professionals, and of course book lovers. Plus, it’s a great spot to hang out with friends indoors. This state-of-the-art library is home to over 1.1 million books in 30 languages. It has seven floors and nine libraries for different genres and interests. My personal favorite is the children’s and youth libraries! It’s totally free to enter but you must register online or you can download the app. It’s open daily from 9 AM to 9 PM except for Sundays! On Fridays, it’s open from 2 pm to 9 pm.

I took my kids just a few days after the opening of the library and it didn’t disappoint me. Our first stop is the children’s library. What I loved about it is that there are lots of nooks and crannies for a quiet read. My kids loved the tippy dotted all around the library. They can sit, read their favourite books and just be in their world.
A cozy reading spot at Mohammed Bin Rashid Library.
The children’s library is a treat for the little residents and visitors of Dubai. It doesn’t only offer free books and educational activities for the young minds but also an indoor play area when the weather is too hot for outdoor fun! There are slides, a seesaw and indoor tree houses great for all ages. This educational setting is a great solution for the hot summer weather. I’m sure your whole family will have so much fun. You can spend an hour or two and watch them discover a whole new world or let’s say different “worlds and universes.”
Mohammed Bin Rashid Library in Dubai is worth a visit. It’s a perfect setting for a peaceful and educating indoor activity for book lovers and visitors in the UAE. Furthermore, the architectural design of the library and the promenade overlooking Jadaf Waterfront is perfect for photography! So, visit it and discover something new!
One of the experiences that is quite entertaining at Dubai 3D Selfie Museum!

3D Selfie World Museum

A haven of art and imagination, a place where art is a surreal entertainment. There’s never a dull moment and you only find yourself having fun, without limit!

Have you ever been to a 3D Selfie Museum in Dubai? Imagine taking a picture with a crocodile with its jaws wide open or walking on a ledge to cross a waterfall? Sounds fun, right? Going inside the museum makes you feel you are in a different world, a different dimension! Now, that summer is finally here and outdoor escapades are no longer an option; the 3D Selfie World museum is an amazing indoor activity that you should try. This place has over 85 3D reality-defying artworks that will blow your mind away!

There are nine areas in this museum, each with a central theme. And as you enter each room, you’ll be taken into a different world and a unique scenario. You can immerse yourself in a world full of wonder and fantasy. All look so realistic and will leave you speechless!

Monalisa Image
A funny depiction of the infamous Mona Lisa.

I had fun when I visited this museum! I didn’t know what to expect so I just entered the museum with an open mind and ready to explore. To my surprise, the museum looks like a page from a book. It’s peppered with hand-painted sceneries, funny optical illusions, and pieces of art that surprised me and at times made me laugh. I had so much fun with my family and it’s an experience great for kids! My children had a great time too. There are specific 3D sceneries perfect for them. One of the dimensions that they truly loved was the “sea world”. Not only are the hand-painted murals look real but there were props that they could play on. We had a blast!

Here are a few things to remember before going there. The museum is located in Al Quoz and just a 9-minute walk from Noor Islamic Metro Station, close to Oasis Mall. So, if you’re here in Dubai as a visitor, it’s easy to navigate. The museum is open from 10 AM to 8 PM and children below 3 are free to go. Lastly, book online for easier access.

The summer heat will be with us for a few more months and it might feel boring to stay in the city. In spite of that, Dubai is a city that offers different and budget-friendly indoor activities for all ages. Whether you want to spend a quiet afternoon in a museum or prefer to experience nature at night, there are always exciting activities to keep you occupied all through the summer. Save this blog for later and don’t stop exploring.
