Just an hour away from the iconic city of Dubai, Hampton Hotel has state-of-the-art facilities, restaurants, infinity and kids’ pools and ample beach space to lounge around. It has spacious family rooms with scenic ocean views and offers free Wi-Fi. I stayed there with my family and we had wonderful memories to last more than a lifetime!
As a family of four with two school-aged kids, it’s not easy to simply book a hotel without planning! Every time, I travel, I’ve made sure to check the hotel rooms and amenities and most importantly, the child-care options. As you know, kids need space to run and play even in a hotel. It’s in their nature to be so energetic! Then, as parents, one must also consciously bear in mind that we are all on vacation. Parents need a break from the daily challenges at work or as 24/7 carers of these young ones! So, it’s always wise to consider child-care options when booking a hotel! Sometimes, that comes with a price! So, here I am scouring the internet to read about new hotels and I found a budget-friendly hotel in Ras Al Khaimah. The best one, indeed!
Hampton by Hilton on Marjan Island is a life-saver! It’s not only a pocket-friendly hotel but it offers FREE child-care perfect for exhausted moms and dads. So, let me share with you my first-hand experience and how this hotel has given me a “me-time” I so badly needed.
I stayed in a family room on the 10th floor with my kids. It’s the perfect setting for a 2-night and 3-day staycation. The family room has a kitchenette and a small lounge equipped with TV and cable. You can enjoy a cup of tea or coffee. The hotel provides it for free and can be replenished upon request. The toiletries are also provided. But if you need a pair of bedroom slippers, a toothbrush, and toothpaste, the staff are happy to provide them for you free of charge! The best part of the family room on the tenth floor is the sea view! I loved waking up in the morning to the picturesque scenery of the blue sea! As if I was on a tropical island and not in the Middle East! After a quick coffee break, I took my kids to discover The Hub!
Now, let me tell you the exciting part….
This place is heaven for all the kids and it’s the second place I checked after the room. As a mom of two school-aged kids it’s on top of my list. This kid-friendly area is amazing and it surely didn’t disappoint me. Here’s why!
All the “little people” including the toddlers will love the Hampton Hotel kids club! There’s a soft play area for babies and toddlers, where they can jump, slide and have fun! Socks are compulsory! But if you forgot to carry them, you can buy them from there for only 5 AED. There’s also a dedicated area for teens where they can play video games! Plus, a reading and art room, where kids of all ages create beautiful arts and crafts! There’s a daily program for this and it’s immensely entertaining for the children. They can bring their creativity to this activity and those crafts are lovely souvenirs of their trip. The club is open daily from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM on weekends and 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM on weekdays.
My kids had so much fun at The Hub! They created some cards, played in the soft play area, and also read some books. This gave me time to relax at the pool and also enjoy cocktails with a beach view!
Speaking of the beach and the pool, Hampton by Hilton has a big private beach, an infinity pool and a kids’ pool. If you love cocktails or looking for quick bites, you can have a scrumptious meal right on your beach lounger! The hotel has a food truck on the beach! You can have tasty snacks and finger foods and have a Mojito while you watch the sunset! It’s open from 12:00 PM till sunset!
My whole family enjoyed the dip in the pool and building sand castles while watching the sunset. Perhaps, it’s because Ras Al Khaimah has always crystal-clear waters and soft, fine golden sand beaches! And even though summer here in the UAE can be hot, swimming in the pool will always be refreshing!
Staying at Hampton means a gastronomic adventure. You’ll have a lot of choices when it comes to dining with entertainment.
Our stay at Hampton included a full-board option. So, we dined at the all-day dining restaurant in the hotel for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. There are always different cuisines to choose from and the foods are scrumptious. We never got fed up with dining there! If you don’t opt for this option, the hotel has two restaurants and a coffee shop that serves drinks and snacks 24/7! You can also try The Claws, an all-American BBQ restaurant that offers fresh seafood, smoked BBQ meats, juicy roast carving stations, and fresh salads. During weekdays, there’s a live band performance and a ladies’ night where females can grab free drinks every Tuesday! If you still want more, then try the food trucks right on the beach for quick bites and savory snacks!
