First things first, at Centara Mirage, you can expect lots of fun activities for kids. There’s a small waterpark with three slides, a lazy river, and a splash pad for little ones. There’s even a huge water bucket for splashing around! Older kids can try the “rock jump”—my brave children dove into the 3-meter-deep pool. And that’s not all; there’s also a bouncy castle on the beach, a rope climbing activity, and various water sports, including an inflatable floating challenge for school-aged kids. The infinity pool is great for everyone, with exclusive adult access from 7 am to 11 am. Don’t forget about the massive kids’ pool with a bridge, giving it a cool island vibe. Rest assured, no child will be bored here!
My children had a blast taking on the thrilling diving challenge in a 3-meter or 11-foot pool. This heart-pounding activity isn’t for the faint of heart. But for those daring enough, you can borrow a life jacket too. As a family, we found serenity floating along the lazy river, a perfect escape from the excitement. For the little ones, there are also inflatable floaties and life jackets available before the entrance of the river. That was my view in the morning, and I couldn’t help but spend some time watching the blue sea. I also loved the customer service, especially the free refills of water, tea, and coffee in our rooms.

As an Asian expat in Dubai and someone who has stayed in hundreds of hotels around the world, I can say that Centara Mirage has one of the best Thai restaurants in the UAE. I truly enjoy every meal at Suan Bua, an authentic Thai restaurant offering both Thai dishes and international cuisine. For our meals, we opted for a full-board package, allowing us to enjoy breakfast, lunch, and dinner at any restaurant as part of our booking. Our breakfasts were scrumptious throughout our stay, with live cooking stations and plenty of choices, even for vegetarians. We loved having breakfast at Sands, a restaurant by the family pool. Plus, my kids always made sure to order Baskin-Robbins ice cream, available from 11 AM near the family pool.
For dinner, we ventured to two restaurants, including the Arabic restaurant called Sheesh on the eighth floor. On pleasant evenings, securing a table at the terrace is a must. We were fortunate to sit in the terrace and had a breathtaking view of the hotel illuminated at night. All restaurants offer both buffet and à la carte options, yet as a Thai beach hotel, Centara Mirage excels as a connoisseur of Thai cuisine.

In the evening, guests are treated to captivating interactive shows such as the mesmerizing fire displays and thrilling acrobatic performances.
Furthermore, our family particularly enjoyed the beach cinema experience. We sat on bean bags and watched Disney movies under the stars. My son especially liked the table hockey, which he played with his sister. They had a blast. Plus, there are two kids’ attractions that your children might enjoy: the Candy Spa, dedicated to massages for children, and a candy store where they can choose from all kinds of candies, chocolates, and sweets.
